FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) It's characterized as feeling anxious that something exciting or more interesting is happening elsewhere than what we’re currently doing. And while fear of missing out has always been there, the explosion of social media leads us to compare our lives with the others shown on social media. And that doesn’t provide us a very well-rounded picture of people’s lives. It’s more like the perfect version of it. 

FOMO perpetuates the fear of having made the wrong decision on how to spend time since "you can imagine how things could be different”.
